(2.8a) Common Factors

Before we proceed to this lesson, do you remember what is factor? Factor is a number that can divide the given number exactly. For example:
Factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24.
24 ÷ 24 = 1
24 ÷ 12 = 2
24 ÷ 8 = 3
24 ÷ 6 = 4 
24 ÷ 4 = 6
24 ÷ 3 = 8
24 ÷ 2 = 12
24 ÷ 1 = 24

In order to find the common factors of 12 and 22, list all the factors of each number.

If one of the number is not divisible by the given number, means that the number is not a common factors of the given numbers.
